The book chronicles the city's colorful citizens and hopping nightlife, and also explores some of the most hilarious events from its crazy history--like the time the whole town was on fire, its ongoing raccoon infestation, and the cult that took over in the 1970s. Packed with laugh-out-loud-funny photographs, illustrations, and commentary by the other inhabitants of Pawnee, it's a must-read that will make you enjoy every moment of your stay in the Greatest Town in America.
My favorite was Jean Ralphio's reviews of the bars in Pawnee I bought this book last-minute for my Leslie Knope cosplay for Comic Con, and expected it to be more of a prop than an actual book. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it to discover that it's a full length book w/ little blurbs written in character by Leslie and other characters from the show! My favorite was Jean Ralphio's reviews of the bars in Pawnee, and his various ratings of Simantha. This reminded me a lot of companion books typically written for sci fi/fantasy book series, shows and movies. A little corny, super cute, a fun read!This is hilarious, and just as if Leslie Knope ... This is hilarious, and just as if Leslie Knope lovingly wrote this about her town. It makes me wish that Pawnee was a real town just so I can visit!Arrived used and damaged. Really disappointed that I paid $18 for a book and it clearly looks used or really mishandled because it has a couple damages. If only I didn't need it right away I would return it but I am very dissatisfied with this purchase.
